Laughter
Hi!!! What is laughter? Why do we laugh? Laughter Laughter is the biological reaction of humans to moments or occasions of humor. It is an outward expression of amusement.
There are several kind of laughter depending on upon the extent and pitch of the laughter. Let me just mention giggles. Some think that smiling is mild, silent laughter.
Laughter is very good for our health. “When we laugh, natural killer cells which destroy tumours and viruses increase, along with Gamma-interferon (a disease-fighting protein), T-cells (important for our immune system) and B-cells (which make disease-fighting antibodies). As well as lowering blood pressure, laughter increases oxygen in the blood, which also encourages healing.” "Science of Laughter” - health.discovery.com
Humor and laughter can cause a domino effect of joy and amusement, as well as set off a number of positive physical effects. A good hearty laugh can help to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, elevate mood, boost immune system , improve brain functioning, protect the heart, connect you to others, foster instant relaxation, and make you feel good.
Every thing stated in today's blog will cetainly encourage you to laugh very often. Laugh, laugh...keep the sunshine in your heart.
Let me finish this post with a quote by Woody Allen...great actor and director. I like his films.
„I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose.“
Have a lovely weekend. See you on monday...if not before. Bye!!
